Mazot Jaune is our cosy, little Chamonix cabin just perfect for your romantic getaway.

It is just 20m2 small, however it squeezes in a double bed, table and 4 chairs, a large comfortable leather sofa to chill out on, wardrobe, book shelves, a brand new shower room and a well-equipped kitchenette.

Quality 300-thread count Eygptian cotton bed linen and summer-weight feather duvets make it very comfortable; thick, soft and fluffy white towels add luxury in a studio which is quite basic.

There is a cute little kitchenette, with gas oven and 3 hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle, all dishes and pans. Plus, a Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine so you can enjoy a decent cup of coffee.

For dining, there is a pine table and four chairs.

The mazot has a shower room, with toilet and heated towel rail.

For your entertainment there is a flat-screen television with access to UK satellite, DVD player with a selection of DVD's, book, cards and board games, plus free unlimited broadband Wi-Fi.

Outside, there is a little terrace which catches the sun with a spectacular view of the mountains of Chamonix...

...Perfect for a lazy breakfast on the patio with freshly squeezed orange juice, and warm croissants or pastries from the local bakers...

...or a chilled-out, romantic evening barbeque with a crisp, dry Chablis in hand, watching the vivid sunset colour the Mont-Blanc massif with a rich, golden red hue.

"This little cottage was such a WONDERFUL place for me and my wife to finish our Europe trip.
Helen & her husband were great hosts w/many years of experience living in the Chamonix valley. I HIGHLY recommend this place over any hotel in the area!"

We highly recommend a car for ease of getting to the shops, restaurants and supermarkets in the village of Les Houches, or Chamonix itself. There is plenty of parking available at the main chalet next-door.

What our guests say about the Mazot

From our guests via AirBnb....

The mazot itself is really special and the hosts are friendly, helpful and around if you need them. It's tiny but has everything you need really unless you're into big fancy holidays. We'll hopefully be back next summer! Ariana, stayed July 2014
Highly recommend staying in this cosy cabin.
Helen's place was truly amazing...and that was just in summer! Exquisite views up towards the alps and down upon the valley.
The cabin is a perfect size for two, comfortable bed, couch, and table to seat four, all of which allow you to see the mountains outside.
The kitchen is also very well equipped and we loved cooking overlooking the little lac in les houches.
It is so close to all the walking trails and mountain bike tracks and was a perfect place to rest after a hard day riding up the mountains. Or to take an evening stroll to watch the sun set behind the mountains (to see the snow blush pink was magical, you can see this as you sip a wine on the patio too) amongst fields of wild flowers and to hear cow bells off the in the distance.
Helen and Leighton were wonderful hosts and lovely people. The cabin is nothing short of what it is described to be.

The little Mazot was simply magical with everything we could need for a weeks self catering.
It was ideally located on the piste so we could ski in and out and watch all the skiers later in the afternoon sitting on our little patio with a glass of vin chaud."

The chalet is beautiful. Right on the slope and offering spectacular views out of the window. The chalet offered everything we could have ever wanted for a week away. It may be small but it packs a lot in and is perfect for a week or so away. Would love to come back. Possibly in the summer to see what les Houches has to offer in the summer season. Do not hesitate - book now! You will not be disappointed.Steven, stayed February 2015
I stayed there with my boy friend for a week during September. Highly recommended! The cabin was very cozy, amazing view. Chamonix is a 10-15 minute drive away. I recommend coming with a car during the summer since transportation isn't very close walking distance.Yaelle, stayed September 2014
